For the first time The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival (SLSF) will be participating in the Annual Brockville & District Multicultural Festival on May 4th and 5th. This popular event is being held at the Brockville Memorial Centre, 1 Magedoma Drive, Brockville, Ontario. Admission is $3.00, $2.50 for students and seniors and children under 5 have free admission. The Multicultural Festival is in its 26th year and is well attended, drawing a crowd of over 3000.
All things Shakespeare will be on display as the SLSF volunteers plan for a dynamic booth, including costumes, props and a stunning back drop. The bakers have been preparing an English Sweet Seed Cake adapted from a receipt dating back to 1615. In honour of the ionic Globe Theatre, typical concessions of the time such as, nuts, apples and cider will be available as well.

The Multicultural Festival features ethnic food, drink, and entertainment also cultural artefacts are displayed. It is a weekend designed to educate the community about the diverse cultures that make up Canada.
As a charitable organization, the SLSF is a place where diverse audiences can experience professional theatre in a magnificent setting. The Company has established a summer home for artists with a passion for the classics and the
talent to speak to audiences. The SLSF consistently achieves the highest standards of artistic excellence and the greatest possible level of community involvement. The 5th anniversary season Summer of Love features productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet, a new Youth Program as well as an expanded Sunday Series. The SLSF is held at the Kinsmen Amphitheatre in Prescott July 14th - August 11th, 2007.
